Features
Learn what restaurant teams can do in Menuella Terminal during daily service.
Menuella Terminal is the focused service workspace for receiving and fulfilling orders. Its interface is optimized for dedicated Android/Sunmi hardware, while the underlying restaurant logic is shared with the dashboard and companion apps.
Orders
The Orders workspace receives live order updates and organizes them into Live, Scheduled, and Done phases. Open an order to review its details and service actions.
Depending on the order state, staff can:
- Accept a new order
- Adjust the ready time where available
- Move an order through ready and completed states
- Cancel an order with a reason
- Refund an eligible order
- Print a customer receipt or kitchen ticket
Orders may come from different Menuella channels, including the website, apps, voice ordering, kiosk, POS, or chat integrations. The source is shown as part of the order context.
Item availability
Use Store → Item availability in the Terminal drawer to temporarily enable or disable:
- Products
- Categories
- Modifiers
This is an operational availability control. The same concept is available in the Dashboard and the Menuella Mobile App for iOS and Android. See Menu Availability for the cross-platform guide. Use the Dashboard or Mobile App for full menu editing, pricing, content, and menu structure changes.
Order settings
Use Store → Order settings for service controls:
- Pause all orders
- Enable or disable delivery
- Enable or disable takeaway
- Set ASAP preparation and delivery intervals
- Configure scheduling windows and minimum lead time
- Set a closing buffer
- Limit the number of open orders
These controls are intended for changes needed during service. Broader store configuration remains in the dashboard.
Printing and receipts
Menuella Terminal supports Sunmi's built-in receipt printer. From an order, staff can print customer receipts and kitchen tickets when kitchen printing is enabled.
Terminal Settings includes receipt-header privacy controls and a Test receipt action. Printing adapts to the supported 58 mm or 80 mm hardware layout.
Today Sales
Open Today Sales from the drawer to review the day's order totals and payment breakdown. A sales report can also be printed from the Terminal.
Connection and device support
Terminal provides online and offline status, Wi‑Fi and cellular information, API latency and WebSocket diagnostics, a direct link to Wi‑Fi settings, and Terminal version, hardware, operating system, firmware, merchant, and store information.
Settings also includes configurable order sounds, new-order display, and automatic opening of incoming orders. Orders are not available offline for security.
