Design the dining-room layout
Create rooms, add tables, set seating capacity, and arrange a floor plan for reservation service.
Set up the dining room in Reservations → Edit layout. The layout is used by the Service workspace when the team assigns and seats guests.
Create a room
- Open Reservations and choose Edit layout.
- Create the first room, or add another room for an area such as Main dining room, Terrace, or Private room.
- Select a room to edit its name or remove it.
Add and configure tables
- Select a room.
- Add a round, square, or rectangular table.
- Drag the table into position on the floor plan.
- Select the table and set its label, seat capacity, minimum party size, shape, rotation, and accent colour.
- Keep Active (bookable) enabled when guests should be assigned to the table.
- Delete a table only when it no longer exists in the dining room.
Chairs are displayed automatically from the table’s seat capacity. The minimum capacity helps Menuella avoid assigning a table that is too large or too small for a party.
Add floor details
Use the Decor & structure library for non-bookable floor details such as plants, walls, doors, and bars. These elements help the team read the layout but do not create bookable tables.
After saving the layout, return to the Service workspace and confirm that the rooms and tables appear as expected.
