Cuisine
Choose the restaurant's primary and optional secondary cuisine to improve customer-facing descriptions and local search presentation.
Use Brand and Customer Experience → Cuisine to tell Menuella what kind of food your restaurant serves.
Cuisine is merchant-level information. Confirm the restaurant in the active merchant context before changing it.
Select cuisines
- Choose a Primary cuisine from the catalog.
- Optionally choose a different Secondary cuisine.
- Review the search preview.
- Select Save.
The secondary cuisine is unavailable until a primary cuisine is selected. The picker excludes the primary cuisine from the secondary choice so the same cuisine cannot be selected twice.
How Menuella uses cuisine
The selected cuisine helps Menuella create customer-facing and discovery content, including:
- Search-friendly restaurant titles
- Local “nearby” cuisine descriptions
- Restaurant descriptions for ordering and discovery surfaces
- Cuisine-related presentation and imagery where supported
The page previews the generated search title and description using the restaurant name, location, and selected cuisine. The preview is an example of how the information may appear; it does not edit your menu.
Change or clear cuisine
Select a new cuisine and save to replace the current selection. Clearing the primary cuisine also clears the secondary cuisine so the restaurant cannot be left with an orphaned secondary value.
Cuisine does not replace menu categories or product data. Keep the selected cuisine representative of the actual menu.
