Update a reservation
Confirm bookings, record arrivals, seat guests, complete visits, and handle cancellations or no-shows.
Open a booking from Reservations → Service or Reservations → Reservations to see the actions available for its current status.
Reservation flow
The normal service flow is:
- Received — A new booking is waiting for confirmation.
- Confirmed — The restaurant has accepted the booking.
- Arrived — The guest has arrived.
- Seated — The guest has been placed at a table.
- Completed — The visit is finished.
The workspace also supports Cancelled, Rejected, and No-show outcomes when a booking will not proceed.
Change the status
- Open the booking.
- Review the time, party size, guest details, special request, and current table assignment.
- Choose the action that matches what happened: Confirm, Mark arrived, Seat, Complete, Cancel, or No-show.
- Check the updated status before closing the details panel.
The available actions change as the booking progresses. For example, a received booking can be confirmed, cancelled, or marked no-show; a seated booking can be completed.
Choose Assign table or Reassign table when the party needs a table. Menuella checks capacity and overlapping bookings before applying the assignment.
